Admission Procedure

  • Eligibility for Admission – 2016 Kindergarten

To be eligible for admission, the candidate must fulfill the age limit specified below

For L.K.G, the child must be 3.5 years by 1st June


  • Submission of Application FormFor Kindergarten

Application Form duly filled in along with attested copy of Birth Certificate and a copy of proof of address should be submitted to the school office within 3 days of collecting the form with 4 passport size photo.


  • Interaction / Admission Test For Kindergarten

The date of INTERACTION will be intimated. The child should be accompanied by both the parents / Guardian.


  • Submission of Application Form For Class I to X

Original School Leaving Certificate should be submitted before commencement of classes. However, along with the Application Form, proof of schooling such as photo copy of First & II Term Exam Result must be submitted. Attested copy of Birth Certificate and a copy of proof of address, 4 recent passport size photos should be attached with the Application Form.

Without these documents the form will not be accepted. Duly filled in Application Form should be submitted within 3 days of collecting the form.


  • Interaction / Admission Test For Class I to X

The entrance tests will be in English, Math, and II Language as applicable. If the student gets though the entrance he/ she, will be called for an interaction with the Principal.


  • Admission Criteria

Admission is based on First-cum-First Serve basis and on the basis of the performance in the Admission tests. However, admission shall primarily depend on the availability of seats.


  • Payment of Admission Fees & Other Details

Fees to be paid will be put up at the Fees Counter. Fees should be paid on the same day of admission.

All fees to be paid on the 1st day of every Term.

After paying the fees, the ADMISSION FORM has to be filled in.


  • Mode of Payment

Fees should be paid by Cash / Demand Draft in favour of “Alagar Public School, Tuticorin” at the fee counter and proper receipt from the school office to be obtained.


  • Cancellation of Admission

In case of cancellation of admission by the parent for some reason or the other, the fees paid cannot be refunded.


  • Office Hours

Fees shall be accepted from 9.30 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. on all weekdays & 9.30 a.m. to 12.00 noon on all Saturdays( except second Saturday). School Office shall remain closed on all Sundays & Public Holidays.
